100 grammes; 162 pages, last page further publications. Illustrated front panel, showing a young man and woman in a cameo illustration ( as if looking through a porthole ) against a grey blue background with red writing on the front panel and spine. Small yellow and black printers' cartouche to the lower spine edge. Rubbing to all edges of the book, particularly either side of the spine. There is multiple creases to the lower lefthand corner of the back panel and a little creasing to the other book corners as well mark into the back panel and a little rubbing is also present. Heavy browning and staining to the paper edges and browning to the internal pages as well, commensurate with cheap paper used in production. A pulp fiction novel set upon a cruise ship written in the late 1950s. A Vintage Paperback. Digital image available upon request. 48 pages, introduction by author. Bright blue coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with 16 full coloured illustrations and numerous black-and-white sketches. Dark blue coloured boards with silver author name on the front panel and silver writing on the spine. Very minor rubbing to the book edges and slight bumping to the book corners. Faint fading to the lower book edges. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Douglas Badcock, with white and yellow writing on the front panel and spine. Author photograph on the rear dustwapper panel. A little rubbing to the top and bottom dustwrapper edges and there are some marks to the spine. There is a 0.25 " tear to the lower dustwrapper rear panel with associated creasing. 224 pages, introduction by author, index. The text is illustrated with numerous black and white illustrations and line drawings, graphs and tables. Blue coloured boards with yellow writing on the front panel and spine. Heavy bumping to the head and to the heel of the spine and a little bumping to the top book corners. The book corners are slightly frayed and there is fraying along the front edge of the spine gutter. Fading of the spine, commensurate with loss of dustwapper to the top and bottom spine edges. The spine is slightly cocked. Browning and foxing to the paper edges. Browning and light foxing and offset tanning to the endpapers and there is a little foxing to the first and last few pages of the book. Very light tanning of the internal pages. There is an erasure marked the top right-hand corner of the free front endpaper. There are the occasional paragraph marking, in ink, made by previous owner. Illustrated dustwapper, showing a slide making technique against the dark blue background with yellow writing on the front panel and spine. The dustwrapper is heavily rubbed and the back panel is quite grubby. The major problems with the dustwrapper is chipping, to the dustwrapper corners, top edge of the front panel, the top 0.5 "of the spine. The lower 3.25 " of the spine is completely missing.
