Gould, George M. (With Jack London Bookplate): CONCERNING LAFCADIO HEARN With A Bibliography By Laura Stedman, Philadelphia (1908) George W. Jacobs & Company
Near Very Good

JACK LONDON'S COPY of an important biography of fellow (and somewhat contemporary author) Lafcadio Hearn. London's bookplate with design of wolf's head underneath his name in bold is pasted onto first front paste-down endpaper. This copy with some front hinge tenderness but still holding firmly in binding. Clean inside and out, but one of the photo plates (of Hearn in Martinique) is now missing. Perhaps pulled by London himself. In addtion to being a copy with a wonderful association to a well-known author, this is a book that provides valuable information on the printing history of Hearn's works, having a bibliography of 80 pages. First Edition Lacking Dust Jacket Brown/cream Cloth Octavo, 416pp FROM LIBRARY OF JACK LONDON
